Notes in the key of G

Some much needed updates!

I really should get better at blogging. Especially since there are SO many of you out there that wait with bated breath for my posts! (Ok...just Dawn...)

Well, here's what life has looked like the past few months...

August: My favorite vacation EVER with Scott (I would literally work all year just to spend my summer in Maui!)
September: Life-changing bomb...shudder...
October: Intense amount of time spent involved in school activities...like the Royal-Simi week!
November: Homecoming...and life-changing family time :)
December: How is it Christmas already?!

Having said all that, I'd like to update prior to the end of the year! So here's a quickie :)

Royal-Simi week was INTENSE this year! It's a week leading up to the big crosstown rival game. There has never really been any school spirit surrounding this event...until this year! Jen (my favorite teacher friend) and I drummed up the excitement and the pay off was AWESOME! Check it out!

Monday was Pajama Day (because we can beat them in our sleep!):

Tuesday was Decades Day (because we were here first!):

Wednesday was Super Hero Day (because we will save this school!):

(This was my FAVORITE day!)

Thursday was Dress Like a Lowlander Day (don't worry...the other school does Pion-nerd day):

(I'd like to point out that those shoes are authentic! As in I've had them since I was 15. And what??)

And Friday was Simi Swag Day:

Blinged out my shirt in honor of Jen :)

And guess what???!!!

WE WON!! For the first time in 7 years!!

This was seriously the most fun I've had at school since I've been a teacher. The excitement and school pride was crazy! I was so proud :)

And my biggest fan was there to share it with me :)

Ahh...

A colleague and I decided to treat ourselves this week. And this is where we did it!

I'm lucky enough to live down the street from The Four Seasons. And when I say lucky, I mean it! (Especially since I watched part of the Kardashian special on Kendell's Sweet 16 and they were touring this hotel as a possible venue for her party...)

The hotel is having a promotion where if you book your massage with your American Express card you can get an 80 min massage for the 55 min price. Yes please!

This is where I lounged...

This is what my room looked like. Can I just tell you that 80 mins of massage is VERY difficult to stay awake through??

Then I hit up the sauna. However, I was literally dripping oil because my therapist was SO liberal with it. Yuck. So then I took a dip here...

And had I found this I would surely have hopped in!

Overall a FABULOUS idea! The receptionist was kind enough to tell me that the promotion will be going through March. With the way this school year has been going, I might need to invest in another trip!
