2 things.

1. i didn't watch the superbowl. partially because i don't care and partially because i was too busy coughing up a lung. however, i did sit down tonight and watched all of the commercials. all of them. as in every. single. one. and i laughed my ass off!

2. my heart skips a beat. and i don't know what i'm doing. but i know it makes me happy and i can't wipe the smile off my face. and that's all that matters right now. and knowing that your're smiling makes me even happier. :)

i'm really quite sad about this. he was only 28. he was one of my favorite actors. he was gorgeous. i think i fell in love with him when i first saw him in 10 things i hate about you. if he was in a movie, i pretty much saw it. i think the part that's most disturbing is that he was the same age as me.
sad. sad. sad.

beauty and the geek

so i'm watching beauty and the geek. i'm not a big fan of tv but i've always found this show entertaining. such opposite extremes of the spectrum. where do they find these people?!
i've been thinking about this show and i kinda want to write ashton a letter...

dear ashton,
how are things? how's demi and the kids? punk'd anyone good lately?
so i have an idea for your show "beauty and the geek". how about role reversal? really smart girls paired up with really hot (not so bright) guys. i imagine an eclectic mix of brainy babes trying to talk some sense into fraternity-type guys. i'm pretty sure it would be a winner. i mean come on, if people are willing to watch a shot at love they will definitely enjoy this. hit me up some time and we can talk logistics.

ps. i'm totally down to be on the show ;)

...but here's the thing. which would i be? cuz i rock the beauty and the brains. here's why...

1. i have a super cute new hair cut complete with highlights and lowlights. i heart my stylist.
2. i spent the afternoon grading science labs.
3. i wore a fashionable velor jogging suit today
in blue of course, which matched my peepers.
4. i taught my students about the rock cycle...and got really excited about it. as in i did such a fab job teaching it! even though rocks are seriously boring.
5. i say fab. in conversations. i also say dude. while teaching.
6. i know each phase of mitosis and meiosis.
7. i compared meiosis to a soap opera. chromosomes who fall in love and are torn apart, destined to be in separate cells because fate is cruel.
8. i'm a labelwhore. my teaching bag is coach, a la strong. thanks buddy!
9. i'm reading love in the time of cholera and really want to finish it before the movie comes out.
10. but i read glamour before going to bed. it helps me plan out my outfits for the next day.

i could continue. but all i'm saying is...can't i just be a chic geek? ;)
